I have a pair of these on the way to me. They will require cutting threads in two holes once they arrive, and then I have to source some bolts to finish them off. Within a week or two I will have a set mounted on my 550 for final checks and photos, and then I will start accepting pre-orders for a production run. I also need someone with a Concours 1000 (the old Concours) who can check fitment as these should work identically on the Concours. If I can get them checked out on the Concours and I make them available to the Concours Owners' Group, I should be able to bring the price down quite a bit due to ordering in quantity. These are really going to transform the weakest area on the zephyr, so stay tuned! UPS says they should be here late next week. Hurrah!

They are here, and they are amazingly lightweight. My GF hung them on a set of hoop earrings and wore them for a while hanging from her ears, without any discomfort. ;)

Within a week I will have them tapped and bolted up on the bike with the calipers to confirm fitment. After that, I can start taking pre-orders! I will sell the brackets separately, or you can purchase them with used GSX-R calipers, aftermarket rotors, or all three together for a complete bolt-on kit. Finally, we have turned the corner and started making parts!

They should also work the same way on 1000cc Concours bikes, so if any of you have friends with Connies, point them this way for pre-orders. Turnaround for the brackets is under a week once I have enough pre-orders to make a batch. Still looking for lower prices on CNC machining than what I can get from the prototyping company; we'll see how that goes.

Just weighed them. Each one is 29 grams, or exactly 1 ounce. Amazingly lightweight yet stiff in the locations they need to be. I'd rather make them in titanium and take a little weight penalty, but the cost would be astronomical. I certainly could have them made in Ti for anyone who felt so inclined, as a special order.

I fixed the error in dimensions and got them on the bike, and they are beautiful. Shortly I will have pictures to show as I put the bike together for the spring. Stay tuned, they really are a pretty trick piece of kit and are almost invisible!

FINALLY got corrected parts and got one caliper onto the bike. And boy oh boy, does it look pretty. Can't wait to see what sort of braking control and stopping power I have now. New stainless braided lines will go on at the same time. Bike should be on the road in the next few weeks, and I can give a full report then, but I expect great things!

What does everyone think?
