so...I put .85 straight rate springs into this bike and 15 wt oil at 130mm hieght springs out front end compressed. I am running 30mm sag. the springs were probably a bit soft for my wt of ~195 pounds. on sharp turns the bike turns and rides perfecly but on sweepers at the local track where typically im on the gas, the front end chatters and in a couple cases chattered hard enough to blurr my vision. I plan to try 10 wt oil next time but would welcome any advice

The front end of the bike sounds underdamped to me. The stock setup has bery soft damping, and I don't think any fork oil will give the balance between compression and rebound that you want.

Phil Douglas at Aftershocks is great with the front ends on bikes with damper rod suspensions. He re-makes the damper rod and then installs Gold Valves differently than the instructions state, resulting in a front end that is silky smooth over almost anything, on the brakes or on the gas. I love his work.
